The butterfly mini collection.

For the longest time the idea of creating a butterfly pendant kept coming to me.

I have to admit, I’m not normally a butterfly person, usually preferring flowers and leaves for my nature motifs. But one day in early 2023, the idea of making a silver butterfly popped into my minds eye and wouldn’t leave.

Have you ever read Elizabeth Gilbert’s ‘Big Magic’? She suggests that ideas are floating around just waiting for the right person to bring them to fruition.

I believe that’s what happened to me - the butterfly found me and wouldn’t go until I’d brought it to life.

Almost 5 months after the original idea landed, it felt like the perfect time to start creating. I had just rebranded and the butterflies symbolism of transformation felt synchronistic.

I started with some drawings, made a million samples in copper, and here is the final collection…
